I am a 30 year veteran in the field of respiratory care including 20+ years working in pediatrics. We are currently using two ELECTRO FLO 5000’s in two of our units…the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and my Pulmonary Unit. Here we focus on the CF population, chronic ventilator patients and treat many asthma patients as well. Both areas absolutely love them. The RNs and the RT staff find these units are a life saver when it comes to performing CPT. The ELECTRO FLO 5000 is very effective and has greatly reduced the fatigue levels associated with vigorous CPT treatments.
